Becker Home Improvement have built a wide variety of home additions for their customers. Randy will help you design an addition to expand your home.
Becker Home Improvement is committed to building your addition. An addition project begins by defining a budget, construction plans, and a contract. Details of these steps are found on the Beginning Your Project page. Once the steps are complete, the construction will begin. Randy and the Becker Home Improvement team will work with you on each phase of the process.
Foundation Phase
Your addition project begins with foundation excavation and concrete work. Drain tile is installed around the foundation as part of the water collection system. The foundation walls are waterproofed and insulated. The final step is backfilling the foundation area. The footings and foundation is inspected by the building inspector to complete the foundation phase.
Framing Phase
The framing phase begins with demolition if required for the addition. The floor and wall framing are built on top of the foundation. Finally, the roof is framed and shingled. The rough electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) is installed. The framing phase ends with the rough inspection by the building inspector.
Insulation Phase
Interior insulation and vapor barrier is installed. The insulation and vapor barrier are inspected by the building inspector.
Interior Build Phase
The interior build phase begins with drywall followed by painting and flooring. Cabinetry, countertops, and trim are installed. Finally, the plumbing and electrical trims are completed. The interior build phase is completed with the final building inspection.
